Helping Individuals Ascend
Since 1981, the Jewish chaplains and staff of the Hinda Institute have supported individuals and families navigating the criminal justice system and reentry into society — with faith, dignity, and community.
Our holistic approach includes counseling, rehabilitation, visitation, advocacy, holiday services, education, financial assistance, and support with employment and housing.

We’re proud to maintain one of the lowest recidivism rates in the country — helping people turn their lives around and become the ethical, productive individuals they were meant to be.
Incarceration affects entire families. Without intervention, children of incarcerated parents face increased risks.
At Hinda, we break this cycle through counseling, personal connection, and scholarships — ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and safe.
