The Legal Advisory Committee is a voluntary group of legal professionals—including lawyers, judges, and our in-house paralegal—who provide vital support to our clients and their families.
Activities include:
- Visiting Cook County Jail
- Offering paralegal support (e.g., record sealing) to attorneys
- Referring clients to both free and expert legal services
- Providing guidance on navigating the criminal justice system
- Assisting with mitigation efforts, including support letters
- Offering courtroom support
- Helping with bonding procedures
- Supporting families during court proceedings
- Advocating for families within the prison system, wherever possible
- Offering ongoing assistance throughout the justice process
