The Legal Advisory Committee is a voluntary group of legal professionals—including lawyers, judges, and our in-house paralegal—who provide vital support to our clients and their families.

Activities include:

  • Visiting Cook County Jail
  • Offering paralegal support (e.g., record sealing) to attorneys
  • Referring clients to both free and expert legal services
  • Providing guidance on navigating the criminal justice system
  • Assisting with mitigation efforts, including support letters
  • Offering courtroom support
  • Helping with bonding procedures
  • Supporting families during court proceedings
  • Advocating for families within the prison system, wherever possible
  • Offering ongoing assistance throughout the justice process
