Counseling & Casework

We provide layered support that addresses trauma, crisis, and daily challenges:

•    Professional therapy with licensed social workers
•    Casework counseling and peer support specialists
•    Four weekly support groups for families and individuals
•    Help securing housing, employment, ID, and essential resources
•    Employment specialist and temp agency partnerships
•    Housing expert and access to housing databases
•    Basic legal referrals and consultation

 

Education & Advocacy

We believe in the power of knowledge, community, and shared experience:

•    Monthly psychoeducational workshops led by experts
•    Partner-led wellness sessions on topics like: 

  Supporting children with incarcerated parents
  Navigating adult children’s mental health challenges
Safe internet practices for families

•    Community presentations by Rabbi Scheiman
•    Documentary screenings and grassroots advocacy led by our families
•    CEUs for professionals on Post-Incarceration Syndrome and related topics

 

Chaplaincy & Spiritual Support

Spiritual care is at the heart of our work — offering hope and connection in the darkest places:

•    Counseling, advocacy, and spiritual support for incarcerated individuals
•    Jewish holiday services and personalized care packages
•    Annual events that bring families and communities together
•    Ongoing chaplaincy presence in correctional institutions across Illinois
