Judge Hyman Riebman (Ret.)

 

Mr. Riebman is a partner with Grund & Leavitt, P.C.  Before joining the firm, he served for over 17 years as a judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, assigned to its Domestic Relations Division during his last six years on the bench.

In September 2018, Mr. Riebman's alma mater, Northern Illinois University's College of Law recognized his years of public service by awarding him its 2018 Distinguished Service Award.

Mr. Riebman began his legal career as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney, and thereafter went into private practice for over 20 years before becoming a judge.

Additionally, in 1999-2000, Mr. Riebman served as President of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and later served on the Board of Governors of the Illinois Judges' Association.
