The legal advisory committee is a voluntary group of legal experts which includes lawyers, judges and our own paralegal that meets quarterly in order to provide support to our clients and families.

  • Visiting Cook County Jail
  • Providing paralegal support such as record sealing to lawyers
  • Referrals to free as well as expert legal services
  • Advice or assistance on navigating the criminal justice system
  • Assisting with mitigation (letters)
  • Support in the courtroom
  • Assistance with bonding

Legal assistance is the of the most desperate needs of our clients. This initiative is a response to this ongoing need, and we are currently structuring the process.

Over the past 6 months, the committee has already had an impact. Our consultations have been on subjects such as medical strife within prisons, child access and civil rights issues.
