The Facilitators:
Rabbi Mendy Goldstein has served as the Rabbi at Chabad Jewish Center in Naperville for 18 years, providing spiritual guidance, counseling, and community leadership.
In addition to his rabbinic role, he is pursuing his passion for mental health and wellness by earning a Master's degree in Social Work at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. His experience includes Jewish outreach, counseling, prison visitation, and community development.
Rabbi Mendy is compassionate and dedicated to helping others and fostering a sense of community. Through his studies and work, he aims to integrate his spiritual guidance with mental health support, providing a holistic approach to caring for individuals and families.
Jay has an associate degree in social sciences and will graduate this year with his bachelors degree in psychology and sociology from Ohio University. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Jay has firsthand experience with incarceration at the county, state and federal Level and its effects on the individual.
His casework specialty is in issues regarding parole, probation and the SO registry. His expertise in these areas helps our clients as they navigate significant obstacles in employment, housing, and community reintegration following incarceration.
