Elena Gormley, MSW :

Elena is a social worker based in Chicago. Her background includes work in workforce development, reentry services, and advocacy for temp and precarious workers.

She believes in the central importance of helping people change the narratives given to them by the criminal legal system. Elena is excited to teach the "Upgrade Your Life" course with the Hinda Institute!

Objective of Course:

Given practical techniques and through peer support, you will able to:

  • identify and practice strategies  

  • build mental strength and resilience 

In order to cope with stress and adversity post incarceration  to better deal with common everyday social scenarios (e.g. job, hunts, work, parties, family).
