Joel Keyser - Advisory Council Chair / Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI)
Joel is a seasoned business leader with over 40 years of experience as a CPA,
CFO, CEO, and HR Manager, helping many companies and individuals succeed. He was previously on the Board of The Hinda Institute, a non-profit organization providing access to education, counseling, housing, food, and spiritual guidance to current and formerly incarcerated individuals. He is currently working on several consulting projects in the financial field, including tax projection and preparation, economic well-being, and business startup and continuation services. As a CFEI, Joel has helped develop and teach several financial literacy and entrepreneur programs nationwide.
Nancy Eiden - Founder, Board Chair, and Secretary
Nancy is a results-driven leader in financial services. She has over 30 years of executive level experience driving business growth, strategic change initiatives, and product development at global banks and credit unions. Her diverse background includes wealth management, marketing, operations, and regulatory compliance. Nancy is currently an independent financial advisor and holds several securities industry licenses with LPL Financial, Member FINRA/SIPC, including the Series 4, 7, 8, 24, 63, and 65.
Nancy is dedicated to advancing financial inclusion and economic empowerment for historically marginalized populations. In addition to First Step Alliance, Nancy serves on the Board of the Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement and Research, is an Ambassador for NJ Reentry Corporation, one of New Jersey's largest reentry organizations, and an Advisory Council Member with Farm Sahel, a non-profit working to improve gender equity and food security in West Africa. She is also a Certified Mentor with SCORE, the nation's largest volunteer network of small business mentors. Nancy holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and management.
