Robin Levine - LCSW
Robin has a Masters degree in Social Work from Jane Addams School of Social Work at University of Illinois, Chicago. While there, she had field placements in the Mental Hygiene Clinic at Hines VA and at Lutheran General’s alcohol and drug rehab center.
She has held many different positions during her social work career, including at the Illinois Department of Children’s & Family Services where she was a bilingual caseworker, a representative to Office of Affirmative Action for the Burgos Decree, Director of the Homemaker Program for CPS, developed and led an institutional abuse unit, supervised a child abused and neglect follow up team, and was the Assistant to the Chicago Director of Child Protective Services.
She left DCFS to work in the private sector, supervising an intensive child abuse and neglect program in Uptown with One Hope United.
Robin left that position after several years and began working for Jewish Children’s Bureau, which later merged with Jewish Family Services to become Jewish Child and Family Services, where she worked until retirement in 2021.
While at JCFS Robin held many positions: Assistant Director of EZRA Helpline and Assistant Director of both the Northside and South Suburban Counseling Offices; Director of EZRA Helpline and Director of South Suburban Counseling Office, Director of Intensive Therapeutic Services program for DCFS involved children, Director of Respite Program, and Assistant Director of Operations, which included being the Medicaid Compliance Director, Director of Access (centralized intake), and HIPAA Compliance Officer.
Robin was also an original member of Jewish Community Emergency Resilience Team (JCERT) and was a Clinical Co-Leader of JCERT from 2006-2021.
As a member of JCERT, she responded to many local requests and also to Virginia Tech shootings, Northern Illinois shootings, and July 4 Highland Park, Illinois.
