Rabbi Rob Jury - PhD, LCPC

 

Rob has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois; a Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois; and a Master of Counseling in Narrative Therapy & Community Work (MC-NTCW) from the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC), and a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) with the Neshama Association of Jewish Chaplains.

His clinical training includes a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he focused on trauma and addiction chaplaincy. He holds a graduate certificate in Jewish Leadership from a joint program of Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning & Leadership and Northwestern University, as well as additional graduate certificates in Advanced Quantitative Research Methods in Education and Trauma Informed Counseling from Northern Illinois University.

Rob has completed training in the use of the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI) and is a Veriditas Advanced Trained and Certified Labyrinth Facilitator, with experience facilitating the therapeutic use of labyrinths in inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment of substance use disorders. He also holds a graduate certificate in Jewish Leadership with a concentration in Supervision from the Spertus Institute and Northwestern University.

Currently, he serves as the Principal Investigator at the MIDRASH Lab at Northwestern University.
