Vickie trained staff at a residential center for handicapped adults and children for several years. At the same center, she taught pre-adolescents who had severe social and academic challenges.

With the birth of her third child Vickie entered the world of sales and entrepreneurship. She became president of the morning Rotary Club in Northbrook, Il, won the prestigious bronze pyramid award from the PPAI association, was awarded recognition in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was honored with the “You Make a Difference” Award from YUM.  

Vickie was a board member on the Center of Deafness for 10 years and is currently on the board of Hinda.
